Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Susan W. Aguiar, who serves patients in Kissimmee, Florida.

A renowned otolaryngologist, Dr. Aguiar is affiliated with Florida ENT Adult and Pediatric in Kissimmee, Florida. She can also be found on staff at West Florida Medical Center and Sacred Heart Ascension Medical Center Pensacola.

Back in 1988, she graduated with her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her residency in general surgery at the Central Iowa Health System in 1990, and two consecutive residencies in otolaryngology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and the University of Chicago Medical Center in 1991 and 1994, respectively.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in otolaryngology through the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, which is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.

Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Aguiar is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (FAAOA), and Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (FAAO-HNS).

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Pediatric otolaryngologists are primarily concerned with medical and surgical treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases in children. They generally provide the following services: diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, and throat disorders, as well as head and neck diseases.
