Dr. Rodriguez commenced his educational journey in 1993 with the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of South Florida. He then enrolled with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, and was awarded his medical degree in 1997. After an internship in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (1997-1998), Dr. Rodriguez completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/ M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas (1998-2002). Finally, he performed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri (2002-2003).
Licensed to practice in Texas, Dr. Rodriguez is board-certified diagnostic radiology with a certificate of added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Established in 1934, the American Board of Radiology is a not-for-profit physician-led organization with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. It oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology and medical physics.
