A highly trained trauma surgeon, Dr. Yanagawa is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Health, working with patients at both St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital in New Jersey.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2010, before completing his residency in general surgery at the WellSpan York Hospital in 2015. He then went on to complete his fellowship in surgical critical care at St. Luke’s Hospital in 2016, followed by an additional fellowship in acute care surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2017.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in both general surgery and surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
