Get to know Invasive Cardiologist Dr. Syed Nasim Ahmed, who serves patients in Hamilton, Ohio.

Dr. Ahmed is a highly skilled invasive cardiologist with Heart & Vascular – Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. He is committed to providing the best cardiovascular care in the most compassionate way possible.

Kettering Health Medical Group Heart & Vascular’s award winning team of board-certified cardiac specialists have expertise in all aspects of cardiovascular care. The specialists are highly skilled and experienced board-certified physicians and medical staff specializing in the most advanced diagnostic testing, and non-invasive procedures. Educated in Pakistan, Dr. Ahmed received his medical education at The Aga Khan University before completing his residency in internal medicine at The Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He followed this up with a fellowship in general cardiology at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Specializing in diagnosing heart disease like blocked arteries, leaky or tight heart valves, high pressure in the lungs, abnormal connections in the heart, and heart rhythm, he is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease & advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, and the California Medical Association.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife, five kids, and cat. He also enjoys aviculture and being outdoors, and speaks multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
