Get to know Geriatrician Dr. Chantri Trinh, who serves patients throughout the State of Missouri.

Passionate about enhancing patient quality of life, Dr. Trinh is a board-certified geriatrician who is affiliated with several hospitals throughout the state of Missouri, including Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – St. Louis, and St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital – St. Louis. 

With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, Dr. Trinh is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados in 2000. Wanting to further her education, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Englewood Health, followed by her fellowship in geriatric medicine at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on the health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. A geriatrician is a health care provider who focuses on patient well-being and independent functioning. These allopathic or osteopathic health care providers are specifically trained to evaluate and manage the unique health care needs and special treatment requirements of older people.

In addition to English, Dr. Trinh speaks Vietnamese.
