The Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, known to many simply as Sheppard Pratt, is a psychiatric hospital located in Towson, a northern suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1853, it is one of the oldest private psychiatric hospitals in the nation.
Back in 1982, Dr. Assan graduated with her medical degree from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at USU. She then went on to perform her internship at US Naval Hospital in 1983. She furthered her training with a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at Boston Medical Center in 1993 and 1994, respectively.
With over four decades of experience, she is board-certified in child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
