Dr. Rinaldi, who has practiced rheumatology for many years in Beverly Hills, founded Beverly Hills Arthritis Associates in 2005 to provide the community with superior care of all rheumatic conditions. Her personalized style and reputation for excellent clinical care set her apart from her colleagues.

Working alongside Dr. Carr and Dr. Ben-Artzi, she enjoys applying her excellent diagnostic skills to manage difficult cases of rheumatic disease. All three doctors are experienced in the management of the full spectrum of autoimmune and arthritic conditions, including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. They are on the clinical faculty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, teaching residents and fellows in the field of rheumatology.

Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Rinaldi completed her undergraduate education at Barnard College at Columbia University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended Harvard University in Cambridge where she received a master’s degree in developmental psychology. Following this, she received her medical degree from New York Medical College in 1976, performed her internship at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan in 1977, and completed both her residency and fellowship in rheumatology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979 and 1983, respectively. 

A Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Alongside her clinical role, Dr. Rinaldi is an Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. As such, she volunteers her time and shares her expertise by training fellows and residents. 

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis. There are more than 200 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, and tendinitis.

Among her professional activities, Dr. Rinaldi serves on the Lupus LA Medical Board and on the Arthritis Foundation Advisory Board. She enjoys speaking to patients and clinicians on the subjects of lupus and other rheumatic diseases.
