He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado and subsequently received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. His rigorous training continued at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto, California, where he completed his podiatric surgery and medical internship. He further honed his skills during his residency at Stanford University School of Medicine, followed by an advanced surgical fellowship at the same institution.

With board certification in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Dr. Abdoo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association and the California Podiatric Medical Association. His commitment to the field is underscored by his past presidency of the Monterey Bay Podiatric Medical Society and his contributions through published articles and media appearances.

Dr. Abdoo’s profound interest in podiatric medicine began in his teenage years, sparked by his experiences in his stepfather’s podiatric medical practice.
