Dr. Goldstein, a fellowship-trained general & vascular surgeon, is the Medical Director of Vein Clinic CA in Santa Ana, California. He offers a full spectrum of vein treatment options including medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatments of veins. This includes varicose and spider veins, as well as chronic venous ulcers.

Having helped thousands of patients, Dr. Goldstein is one of the most experienced physicians for the treatment of vein disorders. He can quickly and accurately diagnose and provide the most applicable vein treatment options, and remains affiliated with St. Mary Medical Center – Long Beach and Long Beach Medical Center.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, he is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the American College of Surgeons (Fellow), the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the L.A. County Medical Association, the Royal College of Surgeons – Canada (Fellow), the California Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Goldstein graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in 1968. Following his surgical residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital, he did a fellowship in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UCLA. 

He was appointed to the Director of Surgical Training at St. Mary Medical Center – Long Beach and an Associate Professorship at UCLA. He served as the Chief of the Medical Staff at St. Mary’s from 1989 until 1992.

In 2005, Dr. Goldstein became aware of the dramatic improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. As a response to this pressing need for a dedicated venous disease facility, he opened Vein Clinic CA.

Having been in practice for over five decades, he is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
