Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Nader Mahmood, who serves patients in Totowa, New Jersey.

Dr. Mahmood is a skilled and respected pulmonary medicine doctor at North Jersey Pulmonary Associates in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He helps patients with a wide variety of pulmonary concerns and issues, including pneumonia, sleep apnea, asthma, COPD, and more.

The doctor always strives to use the latest and most relevant technology for his patients. Using evidence-based medicine, he makes sure that each patient gets the care that they need, exactly when they need it. Before delivering any treatment, he makes sure that patients understand and feel comfortable with the treatment plan. Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Mahmood earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. He went on to earn his medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary disease at St. Joseph's University Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In addition to his work at North Jersey Pulmonary Associates, he also acts as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
