Get to know Ophthalmologist Dr. Kyle Linsey, who serves patients in the State of Florida.

As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Linsey’s interests are cataract and refractive surgery and has expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology focusing on medical diseases of the retina, glaucoma, and diabetes-related eye diseases. Currently, he practices at Perich Eye Center in the State of Florida with locations in New Port Richey, Spring Hill, Zephyrhills, Tampa, The Villages, and Wesley Chapel.

With over 100 years of combined experience, Perich Eye Center is the leader of cataract surgery in the Tampa Bay Area. The practice also offers laser treatment, Botox, and other cosmetic treatments. The specialists working at Perich Eye Center are committed to the highest standard of patient care to provide a comprehensive evaluation and holistic management of eye conditions in a family-friendly environment. Adhering to the osteopathic philosophy, they treat each patient as a whole: mind, body, and spirit.

Born and raised in Tampa, Dr. Linsey attended Berkeley Preparatory School and is actively involved in their alumni association. He then went on to attend the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, where he earned his medical degree. Thereafter, he completed his internship at Larkin Community Hospital, followed by his residency in ophthalmology at Florida Osteopathic Educational Institute, where he continued on as an attending physician before joining Perich Eye Center.

Among the doctor’s achievements, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America. He is also actively involved with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. They may provide routine care such as vision testing, as well as prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses. However, ophthalmologists are also surgeons. They repair traumatic injuries to the eye and perform cataract, glaucoma, and corneal surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Linsey tries to spend as much time as possible with his two dogs, Jake and Coco. He loves everything outdoors, including surfing, wakeboarding, and golfing. He also loves to travel to colder climates to go skiing and snowboarding.
