Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Howell R. Goldfarb, who serves patients in Florida.
Dr. Goldfarb was the first fellowship-trained pain management specialist in Palm Beach County. He has served as the Medical Director of Comprehensive Pain Care of South Florida since its inception in September 2001.
As such, he provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of chronic pain. He offers nonsurgical pain relief for patients experiencing persistent low back and neck pain, pre and post-surgical pain, shingles, peripheral neuropathy, discogenic, joint and radicular pain.
Having been serving the community for the past 30 years, he uses the most advanced modalities for the treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions. He is an advocate of providing patients with a wide array of treatments to ensure that pain treatment is tailored to each patient’s unique pain profile.
Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Goldfarb completed an accelerated 6-7 year BS / MD program at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY. He then completed his anesthesia residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and his fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Thriving in his field, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology & pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care.
