  • Sweating?

If you can consider seeking out an integrative, functional medicine provider, there is more to do for PCOS, anxiety, and hormone imbalance than traditional, conventional medicine. It starts with a whole foods diet, lower carb to reset the insulin/PCOS connection as well as stress-reducing techniques. It's very possible the regular labs haven't been shedding light on the root of hormone instability - blood work is weak for that but a more holistic, integrative, functional provider can do better testing and provide more answers for you and sometimes, restoring some natural hormone balance can help everything from mood to anxiety and more https://www.ifm.org/find-a-practitioner If that is out of your budget since most don't take insurance then consider learning more at https://avivaromm.com/pcos-natural-prescription/ Dr. Karen Kaufman, MD Kaufman Health and Hormone Center 720.639.2736 READ MORE

Offering Holistic and Integrative Healthcare Solutions

A board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Kaufman is the Founder of the Kaufman Health and Hormone Center in Louisville, Colorado. With a focus on functional and integrative medicine, she aims to provide personalized healthcare solutions that address the root causes of patients' health issues, moving beyond traditional medical practices.

At Kaufman Health and Hormone Center, she emphasizes a collaborative approach to healthcare. "Each patient is unique, with different backgrounds, stressors, and medical histories. My goal is to take the time to understand these factors and partner with my patients to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to their specific needs," she states.

Graduating with her MD from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and completing her residency at Northwestern University, Dr. Kaufman has been dedicated to women’s health since 2003. Serving on the Advisory Board of her alma mater, she has remained committed to advancing medical education and practice.

In her years of practice, she observed that many patients sought more than what conventional treatments could offer. While some patients found relief through medications like bioidentical hormones, many others continued to struggle with unresolved symptoms. This realization sparked a passion for functional, integrative medical care, leading her to pursue a fellowship in Functional Medicine.

Dr. Kaufman’s mission is clear: to combine her extensive knowledge of conventional medicine with her training in functional medicine to offer holistic care. Her practice specializes in adolescent gynecology, perimenopause, menopause, and hormone changes throughout a woman’s life, ensuring that every patient receives the individualized attention they deserve.

The Kaufman Health and Hormone Center is committed to empowering patients by educating them about their health and providing the resources they need to achieve optimal wellness. By integrating conventional methods with holistic approaches, Dr. Kaufman is redefining what it means to care for women's health in Boulder.
