    As a fetus there is a communication between the L. and R atrium which closes and seals shortly after birth. At times is doesn’t seal but remains closed because the L. sided pressure is higher than the R. side pressure. Valsava increases R sided pressure and may as in your case briefly open that connection. An authority in his field, Dr. Goldman is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, Dr. Goldman holds board certifications in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
