With a broad educational background, he earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 1979. He completed his internship at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1980, and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in 1982. After joining the US Army, he completed an additional residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Letterman Army Medical Center in 1985.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

As a testament of his dedication to his field, Dr. Greene has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2016, 2010, 2009, 2008).
