Kathryn G. Cheney, MD

Kathryn G. Cheney, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who diagnoses and treats patients at the Child Study Center at NYU Langone in New York City, New York. Part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, the NYU Langone Child Study Center which was founded in 1997 at Bellevue Hospital, now NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, in New York City, New York. Dr. Cheney embraced her current role with the Child Study Center at NYU Langone in 2012. Furthermore, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine in New York City, New York, and co-creator of the CAMS: Advanced Seminar in Eating Disorders for NYU undergraduate students. She joined NYU School of Medicine in 2014. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Cheney has dedicated training and unique experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and their families.
