A highly trained interventional cardiologist, Dr. Green joined Sorin Medical in 2020,  bringing a wealth of expertise and commitment to delivering top-notch, personalized patient care. Board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine, he is passionate about serving medically underserved and minority communities in New York.

Throughout his academic career, he earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He further honed his skills through fellowships at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specializing in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and peripheral vascular intervention.

Prior to his tenure at Sorin Medical, Dr. Green held positions as an attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is renowned for his expertise in complex venous disease and thrombosis, having co-founded the Pulmonary Embolism Revascularization Team at Columbia University.

With over 70 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters to his name, he is a leading figure in cardiovascular research. His work has been recognized and funded by the National Institutes of Health, showcasing his dedication to advancing the field. Notably, he developed the Frailty Score, a groundbreaking tool for assessing elderly patients undergoing percutaneous aortic valve replacement, setting a new standard in care.

Dr. Green’s focus on optimizing outcomes in high-risk populations with complex cardiovascular conditions reflects his commitment to excellence in patient care. His expertise in interventional cardiology, complex coronary disease, and outpatient and hospital-based cardiology make him a valuable asset to Sorin Medical and the communities he serves.
