A trusted pediatrician, Dr. Kipperman has been a member of The Milford Pediatric Group for over 20 years.

The Milford Pediatric Group has provided care for the residents of the Milford area for over 56 years. This is in large part due to the caring providers who have worked over the years to make sure children are happy and healthy. They consider it both a great joy and responsibility to care for children. They strive to be understanding and available to the families they are privileged to serve.

Back in 1970, Dr. Kipperman graduated with his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University, before continuing his education at the SUNY Downstate Medical College, where he earned his medical degree. Driven by a passion for pediatrics, he underwent his internship and residency at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan, situated in Ann Arbor.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Prior to joining the Milford Pediatric Group, he ran a successful private practice in Downeast, Maine. During this time, he co-founded the Friends of Special Children, a pioneering multi-disciplinary child development center. His dedication to the well-being of children was further demonstrated through his role as the founder of the Ellsworth Maine Child’s Protection Council and his active participation as a member of the Governor’s Select Committee on children’s health in Maine.

Before making his mark in Connecticut, Dr. Kipperman served as a Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and contributed significantly to the Schneider Children’s Hospital at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Long Island. His role as the co-director of the asthma center and director of the lead program at Schneider’s underscored his commitment to addressing critical pediatric health issues.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
