Dr. Jayme Mitchell is a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified OBGYN who began her undergraduate studies as a Chemistry major at the University of Kentucky. In a desire to be closer to family, she earned her medical degree at University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Falling in love with the Sunshine State and community, she completed her residency training at USF Health and was named Chief Resident. Upon completing her residency training, Dr. Mitchell joined private practice, obtained board certification in 2018, and became a partner within the practice. Dr. Mitchell cherished the privilege of assisting women in their pregnancy care and delivery; however once completing her own family, she found herself in a new phase of life with a passion to continue providing excellent and evidence-based gynecological care with an interest in menopause, anti-aging, and age reversal. She offers conservative and office-based approaches for many conditions that affect women in the menopausal years including urinary incontinence, prolapse, and hormone-related concerns. Dr. Mitchell believes in a comprehensive approach to medidine, focusing on the physical, emotional, and social aspect of patient health. She is known for her thoroughness and caring nature and strives to build lasting relationships with her patients.

Dr. Jayme Mitchell, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in the Tampa Bay area, began her academic journey in Lexington, Kentucky, majoring in Chemistry before earning her Medical Degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Her dedication to excellence was evident when she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Drawn to the warmth of the Sunshine State and its community, she completed her residency at USF Health, serving as the Administrative Chief Resident.
After residency, Dr. Mitchell joined private practice, became a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an equity partner within her practice. She found deep fulfillment in caring for women throughout their pregnancy and childbirth. After completing her own family, she transitioned her focus to providing exceptional and evidence-based gynecological care for women of all ages. She has developed a special interest in perimenopause and menopausal care and is pursuing credentialing as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.
Dr. Mitchell has recently partnered with Dr. Kristie A. Greene, founder of Florida Female Urology. She hopes to bring her extensive expertise and compassionate approach to women’s healthcare to this specialty practice focused on bladder and pelvic floor health for women. Together, they are committed to providing personalized, world-class care, ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of attention and treatment for their unique needs.
At Florida Female Urology, Dr. Mitchell provides gynecological care for women of reproductive age as well as conservative, office-based treatments for conditions affecting women in their menopausal years, including urinary incontinence, prolapse, and hormone-related concerns. She embraces a comprehensive approach to medicine, addressing the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health. Known for her thoroughness and compassionate care, Dr. Mitchell is dedicated to building lasting relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healthcare journey.
Outside the office, Dr. Mitchell enjoys an active lifestyle, including exercising and running, as well as reading, boating, and traveling. She cherishes family time, raising her two children, Mason and Madison, along with her two labradoodles, Bentley and Brody, with her husband, James.
