Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Steven Barham, who serves patients in Sacramento, California.

A skilled chiropractor, Dr. Barham sees patients at Barham Chiropractic, taking over a practice that has been in existence for over 50 years. His goal is to assure patients that he will do everything in his power to get them well. He will leave no stone unturned in his search to make patients whole and healthy.

Back in 1981, he graduated from Ponderosa High School, where he was Student Body President, All-League and Most Valuable Quarterback of the league, and First Chair Saxophonist in the All-District Jazz Band. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a strong emphasis in Sports Medicine from the University of the Pacific, Stockton.

After suffering from two herniated discs acquired from an injury while playing football for the University of the Pacific, he decided to try chiropractic before resorting to surgery. The treatment he received provided quick and lasting results and he chose to enter the profession, graduating cum laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.

Happily married, Dr. Barham and his family reside in the Sacramento area. He has four children, three girls and a boy.
