Get to know Nephrologist Dr. Mohammed Atiq Dada, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

Dr. Dada is an experienced nephrologist working alongside other specialist physicians at Nephrology Leaders and Associates, PLLC. They offer multiple treatment modalities that cover several different areas throughout Bay City, West Columbia, Lake Jackson, Sugarland, Wharton, Sweeny, Angleton and Palacios, Texas. 

A kidney specialist, Dr. Dada has a unique background of specialized education and training that positions him to provide compassionate, caring, and comprehensive care to his patients.

“Medication adjustments to use the minimum medications needed to get the best results is crucial” stated the doctor. His patients describe him as thorough, caring and with an excellent bedside manner, a physician who really cares about the health of each of his patients. 

A 2001 graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Dada completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Connecticut’s Primary Care Medicine program. He continued working with the University of Connecticut’s residency program for two more years as a Chief Medical Resident initially and then as an Academic Hospitalist. In these positions, he had the opportunity to train several physicians in the field of internal medicine.

A Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), he is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

To keep up to date with the recent advances and standards of quality care in the field of kidney diseases, Dr. Dada continues to attend national continuing medical education engagements.

Practicing medicine in Texas, he is affiliated with Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, CHI St. Luke’s Health Brazosport, CHI St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital, El Campo Memorial Hospital, Matagorda Regional Medical Center, Sweeny Community Hospital, and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
