Get to know Board Certified Cardiologist Dr. Anmar Kanaan, a highly regarded expert in his field. Dr. Anmar Kanaan is a cardiologist in Akron, OH. Dr Kanaa earned his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2004. JUST is a comprehensive, state-supported university located on the outskirts of Irbid, at Ar Ramtha in northern Jordan. Dr. Kanaan completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, where he was Chief Resident (2009-2010). He gained his fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, where he was Chief Fellow (2014-2015). Rush is an academic health system whose mission is to improve the health of the people and the diverse communities it serves. Rush University, with more than 2,500 students, is a health sciences university that comprises Rush Medical College, the College of Nursing, the College of Health Sciences and the Graduate College. Board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine, he maintains a professional membership with the American Medical Association and the American College of Cardiology.
