Get to know Aesthetic Medicine Specialist Dr. JoDee M. Anderson, who serves patients in Portland, Oregon.

A successful aesthetic medicine specialist, Dr. Anderson is the Owner of her private practice, Fresh Faces Rx, located in Portland, Oregon. 

Passionate about health, beauty, and selfcare, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve their beauty goals. She is most proud of the team she has built at Fresh Faces Rx.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Dr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oregon State University. She completed her medical education at Meharry Medical College in 1998, and went on to complete her internship, residency in pediatrics, and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University.

After a long and successful career in medicine as a neonatologist, she underwent intensive training to repurpose as an aesthetic specialist. She has now been injecting for several years, with a subtle and natural approach, aiming to enhance intrinsic beauty.

Educating her patients throughout their consultations, Dr. Anderson holds a Master’s degree in Medical Education and completed a fellowship in teaching & learning at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, she is board-eligible in anti-aging medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). The A4M is dedicated to the advancement of tools, technology, and transformations in healthcare that can detect, treat, and prevent diseases associated with aging. A4M further promotes the research of practices and protocols that have the potential to optimize the human aging process.

Beauty is more than skin deep to Dr. Anderson, she is a Certified Life Coach as a Scholar at The Life Coach School and a certified NLP coach, and she coaches beauty empowerment to women through thought work, find her on instagram @doctorjodee.  Certified in Integrative Nutrition, Dr. Anderson also loves to share her passion about vegetables. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.  

A lover of public speaking, she recently spoke on the topic of self care in front of 37,000 people at the doTerra Convention.

Aesthetic medicine is an inclusive term for specialties that focus on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Aesthetic medicine specialists may utilize both surgical and non-surgical procedures to improve cosmetic appearance, psychological well-being, as well as overall quality of life. 

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Anderson has been the recipient of various awards and honors, including the Top Physicians in America by US News and World Report (2011-2013), Top Physicians in Portland, Oregon by Portland Monthly Magazine (2008-2015), Excellence Award, Excellence in Patient Care (2019), Best Aesthetic Injectors in America Registry (2020, 2021), and Best Aesthetic Injectors in America Recommended Provider (2020, 2021).

On a more personal note, she is a major women’s soccer enthusiast, a huge Portland Thorns fan, and the mother of one very special 12 year goalkeeper. She also enjoys stand up paddle boarding, skiing, walking, hiking, biking, camping, and traveling. Her favorite place to vacation is Moorea, French Polynesia.
