Get to know Neurologist Dr. Reynaldo Rodriguez-Llauger, who serves patients in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 

A prominent neurologist, Dr. Rodriguez-Llauger has been serving as the CEO of Neurobehavioral MD Consultants in San Juan, Puerto Rico since 2010.

His areas of expertise include mental health, mental health counseling, neurology, neurophysiology, psychiatry, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Asperger’s syndrome, depression, medical diagnostics, and family therapy.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Rodriguez-Llauger graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Mundial Dominicana School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic in 1984. He then went on to perform his residency in psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 1995, and an additional residency in neurology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1998.

Furthering his training, he completed his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University from 1998 until 2000.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

On a more personal note, Dr. Rodriguez-Llauger is fluent in English and Spanish.
