Does Invisalign make your teeth yellow?
The aligners do not make your teeth yellow. However, if you consume heavily stained food and beverages (turmeric, curry powder, beets, etc.) with the aligners on and do not brush and floss your teeth right after then your teeth will retain those extrinsic stains that make them look more yellow/brownish. So try to remove the aligners before eating and perform your best oral hygiene before putting them back on your teeth will help. Good luck! READ MORE

Could my tooth pain be causing my headaches?
Yes, especially if the infected tooth is on your upper arch, where its root(s) may be very close or sometimes right at your maxillary and nasal sinuses. How long can you leave a cavity untreated?
Hello there, My advice is to have your cavity treated as soon as you can. Once you're diagnosed with a cavity, which is disease in your tooth, why would you want to wait to let the disease get worse?! Just like with any disease, early diagnosis and treatment will yield more predictable outcomes. Besides, treating, say, a small cavity will cost you much less than leaving it untreated to become deeper, larger, which might cause you pain, then you might end up needing an RCT and crown, both of which will cost you much more. I hope that helps you make your decision. Be well. READ MORE

How do you manage pain while waiting for a root canal?
Sorry to hear that you're having pain with your tooth now. It's good that you're scheduled for RCT. You may call your dentist to see if he/she can see you sooner or refer you to a specialist (endodontist) for immediate treatment. Most endodontists are very responsive and will take care of patient who's in severe pain right away. Otherwise, if the pain is not completely unbearable and you want to wait, then I would do the following: 1. Not chewing on the side of that tooth 2. Avoid foods that might trigger the pain such as cold, hard, sweet 3. Alternate taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol 4. Brush, floss, and rinse warm salt water after meals for the rest of the mouth. You want to minimize the bacteria count in your mouth as much as possible. Hope that helps, and good luck to you! READ MORE
Why is my left front tooth longer than the right tooth?

GP and specialist are most likely work well together to come up with the best treatment plan for patients. Best of luck to you! READ MORE

A crown is indicated when a tooth has hi risk of fracture due to crack lines, significant lost of tooth structures from decays, fractures or accident. The crown prevents the tooth from getting further fractures from bitting forces, that could result in completely lost of tooth from non-restorability and/or damage to the nerve which would then will call for a root canal. Not ALL fillings need local anesthesia (numbing with an injection). When the fillings are small or not deep within the tooth, fillings can be done without being numbed. In the event one needs it, new dental materials (topical anesthesia) and technique have tremendously reduced the pain of an injection to very minimal. Many times patients don't even know that they already have received the injections. So please do not let this common misconception keeping you away from necessary dental treatments. Good luck!
