Get to know Internist Dr. Adil Asaduddin, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Asaduddin is a board-certified internist who provides comprehensive medical care to patients at Katy Internists in Houston, Texas, which he opened back in 2008.

Katy Internists is a full-service internal medicine clinic offering holistic and traditional comprehensive medical care to patients in their friendly, comfortable office in Houston. The providers are trained in treating the whole person, evaluating how all of a patient’s medical symptoms, risk factors, and lifestyle work together. The team then collaborates with the patient to formulate a plan for the journey to wellness.

With over two decades of experience in his field, Dr. Asaduddin is affiliated with several hospitals in his local area, including Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston Methodist Continuing Care Hospital, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, and Houston Methodist West Hospital.

A member of the American College of Physicians and the Harris County Medical Society, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Growing up in southwest Houston, Dr. Asaduddin obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, then earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His first year of residency in internal medicine took place at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. After finishing his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, he then moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where he worked as a hospitalist at the Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals, admitting and managing patients, as well as mentoring residents in training.

After working in the Aurora, Illinois, area for a few years, during which time he was part of a committee focused on improving electronic medical record systems, Dr. Asaduddin returned to his home city of Houston to open Katy Internists. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

In his personal life, Dr. Asaduddin lives in Houston with his family. He lends much of his spare time to Christ Clinic in Katy, Texas where he is a volunteer physician.
