Ruwanthi Campano, MD, a highly accomplished otorhinolaryngologist and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is making a significant impact in the Antelope Valley, California, with her extensive medical expertise and dedication to patient care. With a robust educational background and years of experience, Dr. Campano has established herself as a leading figure in both the medical and aesthetic communities.

Growing up on the East Coast, Dr. Campano graduated as the class valedictorian from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland, in 1987. She then pursued higher education at Franklin and Marshall College, where she graduated in 1991 with a double major in Biology and French. Her passion for languages led her to spend eight months in Nantes, France, during her junior year abroad, where she became fluent in French.

Dr. Campano furthered her education with a Master’s of Science Degree in Anatomy from the University of Maryland, where she earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. During her time there, she not only excelled academically but also taught anatomy to Shock Trauma nurses at the renowned Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Following this, she attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she published several research papers, demonstrating her commitment to advancing medical knowledge.

In 1997, Dr. Campano moved to the West Coast, where she spent eight years in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her surgical training included a general surgery internship at U.C. Davis and a residency in otorhinolaryngology at Kaiser Permanente. Her research earned her multiple awards, including three consecutive honors at the annual Bay Area Residents’ Research Symposium, showcasing her dedication to the field.

Completing her chief residency, Dr. Campano began her professional practice at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, where she played a vital role in training residents in surgery. She became board-certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2003, solidifying her status as an expert in her field.

Dr. Campano eventually relocated to Southern California, where she worked in Ridgecrest before establishing her practice in Lancaster in 2005. Her practice encompasses all aspects of otorhinolaryngology, including innovative treatments for snoring, complex ear surgeries, sinus surgery, voice disorders, and management of head and neck cancers. She is particularly noted for her expertise in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, as well as complex skin cancer reconstructions.

In addition to her surgical prowess, Dr. Campano offers a range of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery services. Her invasive procedures include facelifts, rhinoplasties, blepharoplasties, and brow lifts, while her minimally invasive options feature SmartLipo liposuction, Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. With a unique perspective as a female surgeon, Dr. Campano offers a vision of beauty that resonates with her patients.

Living and working in the Antelope Valley, Dr. Campano is deeply rooted in the community, allowing her to remain accessible to her patients. She is affiliated with local hospitals and surgery centers, ensuring that her patients receive the highest level of care in safe environments.

Dr. Campano operates three practice locations, with her main office situated in the Campano building, which she and her husband constructed in 2015. This facility is conveniently located near Freeway 14 and Avenue N. Additionally, she maintains satellite offices in Ridgecrest and Valencia, California. Her commitment to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including being voted Antelope Valley’s Best Plastic Surgeon, Best ENT Surgeon, and Best Surgeon, as well as Valencia/Santa Clarita Valley’s Elite Best Facial Plastic Surgeon.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Campano is married to Angelo Campano, a successful attorney specializing in personal injury and employment law. Together, they are actively involved in civic and charitable organizations in both the Antelope Valley and Los Angeles. The couple enjoys spending their free time with their twin daughters and their beloved rescue dogs, embodying a family-oriented lifestyle that reflects their values and commitment to community.
