Dr. Gooch earned her medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, then completed an internship in internal medicine at Western Reserve Care System. She continued her studies with a residency and a fellowship in radiation oncology at Ohio State University Hospital, Arthur James Cancer Hospital. She has been board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

Her primary interest lies in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the prostate, breast, lung, and head and neck.
