Board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Torres Jr., is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the owner of Cudahy Medical Clinic in Cudahy, California. The practice strives to make a difference in the community and surrounding cities by providing quality pediatric care to those in need. 

Professionally, Dr. Torres Jr.  holds admitting privileges at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, both of which are located in Los Angeles, California. 

Founded in 1901, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a non-profit, pediatric academic medical center and the largest regional referral center for children in critical condition who need life-saving care. CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, formerly known as Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, is a private hospital committed to serving the local multicultural communities with quality medical and nursing care.

After earning his Medical Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, Dr. Torres Jr. relocated to the United States to complete his residency in pediatrics at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. Thereafter, he became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Certification by the ABP has one objective, to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Torres Jr. provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. He is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
