Dr. Gidseg graduated with distinction from Cornell University in 1999 and earned his Medical Degree from Weill Cornell Medicine in 2003, where he was honored as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His extensive training continued at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he completed his internship and residency in 2006, serving as an assistant chief resident. Dr. Gidseg then pursued a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the same prestigious institution, finishing in 2009. 

His advanced training encompasses nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac CT angiography, with board certifications in all these specialties. Dr. Gidseg is also board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

As a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Gidseg remains at the forefront of cardiology. He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Echocardiography, the Suffolk County Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Medical Association.
