Dr. Halina Wiczyk is an reproductive endocrinologist practicing in Springfield, MA. Dr. Wiczyk specializes in women's health, particularly the female reproductive system, infertility and In Vitro Fertilization. As a reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Wiczyk can treat a number of health issues related to difficulty getting pregnant, endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and various other hormonal issues.   • Is a hysteroscopy painful?

    Hysteroscopy is a procedure when an instrument with a camera is inserted into the uterus. It can be done in the office if it is only diagnostic under some light sedation. If there is something that needs to be removed or repaired, that requires dilation and fluid management and is better done in the operating room under anesthesia. Afterwards there can be some discomfort but most of the time non-steroidal medications such as ibuprofen is all that is needed. READ MORE

  • Dr. Wiczyk was always interested in medicine. Her mother was an OBGYN. She has always been fascinated by the science behind reproductive endocrine. Dr. Wiczyk attributes her success to her supportive husband, great childcare, her co-workers who make the work day fun, and her background as a nurse.
