Garnet Health Medical Center, formerly known as Orange Regional Medical Center, is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Back in 1994, Dr. Paraschiv graduated with his medical degree from Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara in Romania. Upon relocating to the United States, he performed his internship at New York Methodist Hospital in 2000 and his residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Medical Center in 2002.

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Paraschiv is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine (FHM).
