Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Egbert John Serrão, who serves patients in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Serrão is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has almost thirty years of experience. Specializing in gynecology, anti-aging medicine, and cosmetic surgery of the female body, he offers women’s health for residents of Orlando, Winter Park, and the surrounding areas of Florida at Serrão Rejuvenation Center.

His previous training and expertise with intra-abdominal lasers, laparoscopic surgery, and precise injection techniques, assisted him in the transition into his cosmetic practice in 1999, along with countless hours of continuing medical education.

Over the years, Dr. Serrão has developed a reputation for personalized service with a high level of medical expertise. He listens to patients’ needs, creates realistic solutions, and has a unique ability to make them comfortable with his friendly demeanor.

Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Serrão received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He then performed his residency at Maryland General Hospital where he received national recognition as “Resident of the Year.” 

In addition, he has done several preceptorships with world renowned physicians in the field of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery at Harvard University, John Hopkins School of Medicine, and Duke University. He has trained with some of the best including: Dr. Todd Malan, Dr. Adam Ostrzenski, Dr. David Matlock, Dr. Alexander Simopoulos, Dr. Dwight Reynolds, Dr. Marco Pelosi, and Dr. Marta Rendon.

With a reputation for excellence in all aspects of his practice, he is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Serrão is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Among his other professional affiliations include the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists, the American Society of Liposuction Surgery, the American Society of Photodynamic Therapy, the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery, the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery, the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association, the ​Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America, the International Institute of Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation, the International Meso-Lipotherapy Society, the International Society of Cosmetogynecology, the International Society of Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons, the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
