A fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kozanek is in practice with Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, serving patients at the offices in Fayetteville and Raeford, North Carolina. His specialities include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, stress fractures, ankle sprains, tibialis posterior dysfunction, metatarsal repairs, Morton’s neuroma, and ankle replacement.

Academically, Dr. Kozanek completed his undergraduate and medical degree at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency program in 2016, and was an Orthopedic Surgery Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Finally, he completed the Baylor Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship in Dallas, Texas.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina, Dr. Kozanek is affiliated with Excel Orthopedic Specialists, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Thedacare Orthopedic Care.
