Lake Success, New York – Christine J. Duncan, MD, FACOG, IFMCP, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, has been a trusted name in women’s health on Long Island since joining private practice in 2000. In 2003 she joined Women for Women ObGyn and recently transitioned to Northwell Health Physician Partners Women for Women ObGyn. With over 25 years of conventional medical training and clinical experience, Dr. Duncan utilizes a unique approach to women’s health by integrating traditional medical practices with innovative functional and integrative medicine.  

Dr. Duncan’s extensive expertise allows her to continue to practice general obstetrics, gynecology, and surgeries while also offering comprehensive care that addresses not just the symptoms, but the root causes of many female health concerns. Her patient-centered methodology emphasizes the importance of viewing the patient as a whole. As such highly personalized management plans that may encompass lifestyle changes, nutrition, hormones, botanicals, and nutraceuticals can be offered. This integrative approach may effectively manage a range of conditions including menopausal symptoms, PMS, sexual dysfunction, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent vaginitis, painful periods, irregular and heavy menstrual cycles, and preconception care.

Dr. Duncan’s academic credentials reflect her commitment to excellence in medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University before earning her Medical Degree with distinction in research at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwell Health at Long Island Jewish Medical Center included a role as the Administrative Chief Resident, showcasing her leadership in the field. To further enhance her expertise, Dr. Duncan completed an integrative medicine fellowship through the Andrew Weil Center – Integrative Medicine, graduated from Dr. Aviva Romm’s Women’s Functional and Integrative Medicine Professional Training Program, and completed the Institute for Functional Medicine Certification Program.

An esteemed member of the medical community, Dr. Duncan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
