Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Ida L. Mazza, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

A dedicated cardiologist, Dr. Mazza is affiliated with Tenet Florida Physician Services, seeing patients at the Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Her areas of clinical interest include medical management of atrial fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, management of heart failure and prevention, management of coronary artery disease and atherosclerotic risk factors, and management of complex cardiac conditions and its associations with non-cardiac complications.

Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS), a division of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, is a multi-specialty physician group that has provided care to the Palm Beach County community since 2007. TFPS physicians, including primary care, specialists and subspecialists, have cared for over 719,000 patients across various medical and surgical specialties. A native of Venezuela, Dr. Mazza graduated with her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and completed her combined internship at the Venezuela Institute of Social Security Hospital. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Professionally, she is an active member of the American College of Physicians, and the Tenet Florida Heart & Vascular Network.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).

An authority in her field, Dr. Mazza has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2015), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014).

Speaking multiple languages, she is fluent in English and Spanish, and is proficient in Italian.
