Keeping his professional skills current through frequent continuing education, Dr. Matson has been a member of the American Orthodontic Society since 1998 with certification in Straight Wire Orthodontics. He completed endodontic certification in 2001 and certification by the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in 2006. Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
As a testament to his success, Houston Magazine nominated Dr. Matson as one of the city’s Top Dentists in 2008 and 2009.
On a more personal note, he is a devoted husband to Jocelyn Matson and father of two children, Kyle and Paige.
