Morristown Pathology Associates proudly announces the continued presence of Dr. Bhattacharyya as the Principal Attending Pathologist, a role in which he has significantly contributed to the field of pathology in New Jersey. With an extensive background in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology, Dr. Bhattacharya is renowned for his exceptional skills in diagnosing complex conditions, particularly in the areas of leukemia and lymphoma.

Dr. Bhattacharyya’s medical journey began at Assam Medical College in India, where he completed his education in 1975. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to the United States, where he completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He further honed his skills through two prestigious fellowships in surgical pathology and hematopathology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Montefiore Medical Center.

At Morristown Pathology Associates, Dr. Bhattacharya is dedicated to providing precise diagnoses through his proficiency in performing fine needle aspiration biopsies and interpreting lymph node and bone marrow pathology. His work is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive effective and timely treatment, ultimately improving their quality of life.

In addition to his role at Morristown Pathology Associates, Dr. Bhattacharyya serves as the Director of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Professor of Pathology at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and a Professor of Pathology at HMH School of Medicine. His multifaceted roles reflect his commitment to education and the advancement of pathology as a discipline.
