Dr. Bauerschmidt received his Medical Degree from the Ohio State University, is residency trained in Family Practice. Dr. Bauerschmidt spent more than 22 years in Emergency Medicine including as Medical Director of Emergency Services at Imperial Point Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His personal and professional life were transformed after a debilitating car accident and illness due to mold exposure. Dr. Mike has come full circle and now focuses on preventing disease and resolving the root cause of chronic problems, naturally.Currently operating in Charleston SC, Dr. Bauerschmidt specializes in Functional & Environmental Medicine, Bio Identical Hormone Replacement for men and women, natural pain management, IV antioxidants for general health and chronic inflammatory conditions. The culmination of all of his life’s work, personal and professional experience has led him to create this proprietary DEEPER Healing model. 

Dr. Bauerschmidt is unique, an experienced board-certified MD who has honed his skills in the treatment of environmental illness and multiple chemical sensitivity through the use of cutting edge treatments and programs. Dr. Bauerschmidt is a member and past President of the American College for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM). He completed a year-long Fellowship in Environmental Medicine under the most esteemed and respected practitioners. Dr. Bauerschmidt’s philosophy of treating the whole person and understanding the root cause of illness is supported by his training as a Life Coach, through the Coaches Training Institute and Certified by the Physician Coaching Institute.
