This was followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School in Newark, under the auspices of Drs Gerson Weiss and Nanette Santoro.
In addition to having published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Mushayandebvu remains a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow), the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (Fellow), the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility & obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside after the reproductive years.
