An accomplished facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Nuara works with patients at Virginia Mason Hospital & Seattle Medical Center in Washington state. His educational journey began at the University of Illinois, Rockford, where he earned his medical degree in 2003. He then completed his residency in tolaryngology at the prestigious University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2008, followed by a fellowship in plastic reconstructive surgery at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2009. Following his education, the doctor attained double board certification through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery & the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. As a testament to his commitment to excellence, Dr. Nuara actively participates in professional organizations and serves on various committees. He is the Co-Chair of the facial reconstruction subcommittee within the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, demonstrating his dedication to advancing the field. Additionally, he is a member of esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Society for Cosmetic Surgeons, the Northwest Academy of Otolaryngology, and the Washington State Medical Association. Dedicated to education and mentorship, he is involved with the University of Washington Otolaryngology Residency Program, where he serves as a clinical instructor. Furthermore, he holds the position of Program Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, guiding future surgeons in their specialized training. His expertise is highly regarded in the medical community, as he contributes his knowledge as a manuscript reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. Driven by a strong sense of compassion and a desire to make a difference beyond his local community, Dr. Nuara generously volunteers his skills and expertise for medical missions abroad.
