Get to know Family Practitioner Dr. Joseph L. Jackson Jr., who serves the population of Waynesboro, Georgia.

Dr. Jackson currently practices with Medical Specialists Inc. as a family practitioner. He is additionally affiliated with North Jefferson Medical Center and Burke Medical Center. 

After earning his medical degree, Dr. Jackson completed his residency with the Greenville Hospital System. He is certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Founded in 1969, ABFM is a not-for-profit, private organization whose mission is to improve the health of the public through Board Certification, Residency Training, Research, Leadership Development, and promoting the development of the specialty of Family Medicine.

Due to the expertise he holds in his field, he has been awarded the Compassionate Doctor Recognition and the Patients’ Choice Award in 2016. His patients have excellent experience with him, one stating, “Without a doubt, Dr. Jackson is the best. He is very concerned and listen to you, you never feel rushed.
