Dr. Miller is an adolescent medicine specialist who is serving patients in the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric Gynecology – Department of Pediatrics at Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Located in Wilmington, Delaware, the Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is a pediatric hospital that is controlled by the Nemours Foundation – a non-profit organization created by philanthropist Alfred I. du Pont in 1936 and dedicated to improving the health of children. The mission of the hospital is: to provide leadership, institutions, and services to restore and improve the health of children through care and programs not readily available, with one high standard of quality and distinction, regardless of the recipient’s financial status.

Dr. Miller received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2007. Thereafter, she went on to complete both her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2010. She also completed her fellowship training in adolescent medicine at the Children’s National Medical Center in 2014.

Dr. Miller is board-certified in pediatrics and holds subspecialty certification in adolescent medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Founded in 1933, the ABP is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM), as well as the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG).

Adolescent medicine or hebiatrics is a medical subspecialty that focuses on the care of patients who are in the adolescent period of development. This period begins at puberty and lasts until growth has stopped. Adolescent medicine specialists, like Dr. Miller, have extra training in the medical and emotional issues that many teens face.
