Get to know Internist Dr. Tom Klein, who serves patients in Riverwoods, Illinois.

Dr. Klein is a well-versed internist specializing in internal medicine, geriatriic medicine, and hospital medicine. He is the Medical Director of Riverwoods Health & Wellness Center and Nu Age Med Spa in Riverwoods, Illinois.

As such, he prides himself on establishing state-of-the-art facilities and utilizing the most advanced technologies and procedures with a staff of highly trained and dedicated professionals. His ultimate goal is to develop a relationship with each patient that is based on mutual respect and trust.

Nu Age Med Spa was established with patients’ needs in mind. Its mission is to offer exceptional skin care and anti-aging solutions by combining the optimum of medical esthetic treatments and innovative spa therapies. All of the services are performed by a skilled team of licensed estheticians under the direction and supervision of Dr. Klein, who is the on-site physician.

With over 25 years of professional experience in the Chicago area, he is affiliated with Community First Medical Center, Westlake Hospital, and Rush University Medical Center. 

In 1976, Dr. Klein graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Swedish Hospital. From there, he went on to perform his residencies in family medicine at Advocate Ravenswood Medical Center and MacNeal Hospital. 

Board-eligible in aesthetic medicine, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Klein speaks multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Hebrew, Romanian, Hungarian, and French.
