Dr. Weimer graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. He then went on to perform his residency in emergency medicine at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. He was awarded Emergency Medicine Residency Program faculty of the year in 2018/2019 and was awarded Emergency Medicine Preceptor of the Year as well as Overall Preceptor of the year by Chatham University Physician Assistant Program in 2021/2022.

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). ABEM is an organization that provides board certification to physicians who complete an ACGME/ABEM accredited Emergency Medicine Residency.  These physicians specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).

Attributing his success to his parents, his wife and children, Dr. Weimer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and a member of NALTO.

Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, he has worked for multiple health systems including the Penn Highlands Health System, UPMC Health System, Excela Westmoreland, Excela Latrobe, Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Conemaugh Miners Medical Center and Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Weimer is an avid baseball fan and loves to golf and archery hunt. His favorite professional publication is The New England Journal of Medicine and his favorite place to vacation is Deep Creek Lake – McHenry, Maryland.
