Get to know Internist Dr. Anjanetta LaTrice Foster, who serves patients in Birmingham, Alabama.

Being a well-versed internist, Dr. Foster sees patients at Birmingham Family Wellness in Alabama. Dedicated to the health of adults, she is trained in the essentials of primary care internal medicine, which incorporates an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system, and reproductive organs.

A 1993 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Foster went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at UAB Hospital. Shortly thereafter, she became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

With nearly three decades of experience in her field, the doctor is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in her local area, including Princeton Baptist Medical Center, UAB Hospital Highlands, Southeast Alabama Medical Center, and Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Internal medicine or general medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases.
