David R. Squires, MD, works at Augusta Oncology Associates in Augusta, Georgia. His desire to be a research oncologist was sparked during his time at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, when he was involved in clinical trial research with tumor-targeted therapies.  Because of his own year three battle with cancer from 1993-1996, Dr. Squires is inspired every day to help others.  He enjoys helping families and patients through challenging times and the trauma of diagnosis.
