Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Jaishree R. Ellis, who serves patients in Corpus Christi, Texas. 

A distinguished board-certified gynecologist, Dr. Ellis is committed to adolescent health and specialized care for women with disabilities. She brings over two decades of experience to the Coastal Bend Women’s Center, where she is providing obstetric and gynecologic services to the women of South Texas.

Back in the early days of her academic career, the doctor’s journey commenced with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Passionate about her profession, Dr. Ellis is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). The mission of the AOBOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Beyond her medical practice, she is a devoted mother of three, one of whom has autism. This personal experience led her to delve into disability advocacy, becoming a staunch proponent for the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. She has actively contributed to the cause by co-founding a chamber of commerce dedicated to increasing employment opportunities for disabled individuals.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). Dr. Noel now focuses her practice on Gynecology.

Recognized for her dedication to her field, Dr. Ellis has been the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Miracle Center Award and the Women of Distinction Award in 2009. 

Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in spending quality time with her children and nurtures her love for travel, with the Amalfi Coast in Italy holding a special place in her heart as one of her all-time favorite destinations.
