Get to know Dr. Assia Fain, who serves patients in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Fain is a General Dentist  who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Lakeside Family Dental in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Lakeside Family Dental is a family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. Dr. Fain and her team of professionals are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using state-of-the art dental equipment. They offer services such as checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers, and more. 

Dr. Fain is a graduate of two dental schools the first being in Moscow, Russia, and the second one being the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. She also successfully completed her orthodontic residency and post-doctoral thesis, and earned her PhD in Orthodontics in Moscow.

Dr. Fain spent many years as the Head of the Orthodontic Department at the Moscow Center of Pediatric Dentistry, working with children with cleft lip and palate, before moving to the United States in 1997. Prior to entering the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, while taking her board tests, she worked as a dental assistant and hygienist.

Dr. Fain is a member of the American Dental Association, Diplomate of American Orthodontic Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, Worcester County Dental Association, American Academy of Facial Esthetics,  American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry,, and the American Cleft Lip and Palate Association.

Each year, Dr. Fain attends more than 100 hours of advanced training education classes and lectures. This allows her to bring into her practice the most current treatments and the most advanced technology available, ensuring patients at Lakeside Family Dental are able to experience state-of-the-art treatment.

Dr. Fain is responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patients’ teeth and with their oral development. 

Dr. Fain is married to Professor Vitaly Fain, PhD, a renowned specialist in artificial intelligence. Dr. Fain attributes her success to her husband and son’s support, as well as her desire to help her patients. In her spare time, Dr. Fain enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
