Anant I. Patel, MD, maintains a position within Central Texas Brain and Spine located in Austin, Texas. An expert in treating complex spine disorders and brain tumors, Dr. Patel is one of the only neurosurgeons in Austin that currently performs the NexFrame frameless Deep Brain Stimulator for people with movement disorders such as Parkinson's. He is one of six on-site, training physicians in the country for this procedure. Double Board certified in neurological and orthopedic surgery, Dr. Patel has been actively involved in neuroscience research and is the recipient of grants from the National Institute of Health and the General Electric Research Foundation.
